What better way for students and the community to usher in the new university than with a huge celebration party? That’s just what UVU did on June 30, when 15,000 people attended the UVUphoria celebration. The day started out with a grand opening of the new Digital Learning Center, where people explored the new 5-level library, watched dance and karate performances, listened to the Losee band, and soaked in the atmosphere of being a university.

International relations at UVU has had the help of three international consulates who are headquartered on campus. Consulates are diplomatic missions from foreign schools.
As an honorary guest of UVSC, Kim Hyun-Chung visited campus on May 18-23.
The third annual “Giving of the Green” took place March 17-20. This year the money that was raised will go toward the new library. Students were given the opportunity to donate $50, with donors matching each of these contributions with $100.
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is teaming up with other transit organizations to make improvements to east-west transportation in northern Utah County. The potential improvements include alternative routes to UVSC, existing and planned housing, retail malls, employment centers, and downtown Provo.
With five weeks left until the last day of spring semester, it can only mean that summer is just around the corner. This summer offers the opportunity for students to take classes and be part of the last semester at UVSC before the transition to UVU.
