The time to produce comedy never stops for standup comics. Marcus, who is gaining huge public momentum for his ongoing winning streak on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, is no exception to that idea.

Most visitors to Cedar City are not originally from Utah. The vast majority had lived somewhere else, heard of Festival City USA, moved to Utah, and then came to visit. The city’s largest attraction, the Utah Shakespearean Festival, has won a Tony and claims to be internationally famous, yet many Utah County residents don’t even consider it to be a possible vacation destination. Some even skip over it to see the shows at the Tuacahn in St. George.

Iran launched a missile test on July 2, to prove their country is armed and able to retaliate in the event of an enemy missile attack. Iran Air Force Gen. Hossien Salami said in a television report that the missile tests were in rebuttal to “harsh language [against Iran].”
The missile tests were performed at the mouth of the Straight of Hormuz, the waterway connecting the Persian Gulf to the Arabian sea, which is the site of transportation for 40 percent of the world’s oil supply. Nine missiles were fired during the session.
Salami warned on a local television network that Iran always has its hand on the trigger, ready to launch a missile if needed.

UVU is bound to gain a major rival sooner or later as the institution grows and gains more talent in its athletic department. Competing against other Division 1 schools will, no doubt, bring thrills. Yes, it’s true: Sucking at golf on purpose does make the game more fun. Why, you ask? Well, let’s face it: We all suck at playing golf anyways. Everyone who has golfed for the first time knows it, and didn’t completely disagree with their buddy who said, “Dude, you are going to swing and miss the ball at least a thousand times today.” You might know the feeling.

A college has become a university. It is leaving its faults behind and never looking back. The standards are being raised and the quality of education is rising to an outstanding level. The facilities and departments are upgrading. Tuition has increased, but the admissions requirements stay the same. UVU keeps its open admissions policy. Anyone can go to college.

o now it’s official. A mere seven days after the official ascension to university status and 12 days after he elected to “dodge the question” posed by UVU Review staffers, our illustrious president, Bill Sederburg, the man whose tenure at the UVSC helm steered our school to its complete self-realization, has announced that he is going to make like a tree and leave. Just like we called it in the June 30 edition of UVU Review, Sederburg was named “by unanimous vote,” according to a State Board of Regents press release, as the new commissioner of higher education. Although it may be a bit crass, a “we told you so” is in order here.
