Students can Ski on down to the UVU Outdoor Adventure Center to fulfill all their adventuring needs, rainy or shine.

The Outdoor Adventure Center, located in the Student Center at UVU, provides a more affordable way for students to enjoy the natural beauty that Utah provides through its various mountains and Ski Resorts. During the winter season, which ends sometime during the month of March or April depending on weather, students can rent equipment through the Outdoor Adventure Center at a discounted rate. Equipment available to students through the Outdoor Adventure Center ranges from winter sports gear, which includes equipment such as snowboards, Skis, Snowshoes and more. The Outdoor Adventure Center also has a variety of camping equipment available for rent such as cooking stoves and tents, as well as sleeping bags and lights.

Equipment is not the only thing the Outdoor Adventure Center provides. The store’s attendants are available to students and customers should they require information about what kind of gear they need for any number of camping trips, hikes, as well as advice on outdoor sports and the needed equipment for each respective sport. The Outdoor Adventure Center also provides trips and classes for students who wish to participate in outdoor adventures that would otherwise be more costly. The Outdoor Adventure Center will be hosting a clinic on backcountry skiing on December 6th and will be informing students on the precautions needed to travel in Utah’s backcountry. During the semester, the center hosts hikes, day trips, and overnight trips each month during the fall and spring semesters. The center will be closed during winter break, but students have the opportunity to rent equipment before the semester ends and use said equipment all break long at a reduced rate.

The Outdoor Adventure Center is a resource located on campus that students are able to use during the semester for their adventuring needs. Semesters can prove overwhelming for students at any given point and the Outdoor Adventure Center can provide students with the opportunity for a reprieve and a chance to explore the state of Utah.
