On June 11, pop artist Kelly Clarkson will perform at Brent Brown Ballpark, the UVU baseball stadium, at 6:30 PM. The performance is part of UVUphoria! II, Orem Summerfest and Clarkson’s tour for her new album ALL I EVER WANTED, her fourth studio album which released just last week.

The Utah Opera’s latest production, The Marriage of Figaro, opened last Saturday at the Capitol Theater. Figaro, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s sequel to The Barber of Seville, is sung in the original Italian with English supertitles. The Marriage of Figaro’s plot is complicated, to say the least.

After a widespread “community engagement” campaign, a visit from Michael Moore, and concerts from bands as popular as Muse, Smashing Pumpkins, and Mika, UVU finally found itself on the map on Feb. 27. In an historical reunion, MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice took the stage at the McKay Events Center, performing together for the first time in 18 years.

Students may be a little hesitant to give Shoga, the modern Japanese sushi bar and restaurant, a try — many other sushi restaurants in the Orem and Provo area can leave you wanting. After having visited restaurants such as Asuka, Damae and even Happy Sumo, I am confident when I say Shoga serves the finest sushi in the valley.
