Want “A”s, get “Z”s

Finding the pillow, counting sheep, and “Z”s are what most college students are not getting enough of. Rather, caffeine-fueled college students cram for exams, write papers until the crack of dawn, and snooze through their classes. A trend that shows if you can’t sleep: You won’t get “A”s.

There are a handful of writers and artists in the comic book industry that can sell a book just by splashing their names across the cover. In the case of the new Image Comics series Back to Brooklyn, there are two names gracing its cover that have fanboys scooping it off the shelves: Garth Ennis and Jimmy Palmiotti.

The Firefox Internet browser is famous for being the most malleable program of its kind. As soon as Firefox 3, its most recent build, was released, hundreds –and now thousands — of plug-ins were created for it. Most are silly tools you would do better without: pointless additions that are just going to make your computer move slower.

Smooth jazz goes adult contemporary

For over a decade, KBZN (97.9 FM) has been the home of Utah’s only smooth jazz radio station. The Breeze has featured instrumental artists like Boney James, Dave Koz, Kenny G, David Sanborn and Spyro Gyra. Artists like these will be decreased in their rotation on KBZN now that The Breeze has changed their format.

Getting excited about school can be tough, especially during fall semester. Maybe it’s just me, but graduation seems like a lifetime away, and now that dropping classes is no longer a free affair, I’ve noticed some disconcerting changes in my previously benign professors.

Flies in the Snuffbox, collected 1880’s Russian comedy sketches by Anton Chekhov, is more than a successful production — it is unadulterated, enlightened entertainment.

If you’ve ever read a Stephen King novel, you probably will not be surprised to hear that Marvel Comics has begun to adapt some of his most well known works into graphic novels. The twisted and unique stories King is known for are a perfect fit for the comic book world.
