The women’s volleyball team beat the Cougars of Chicago State last week, 3-0 (25-5, 25-9, 25-14). This makes back-to-back wins for the lady Wolverines, and put Chicago State at 0-20 this season. “It is difficult to stay focused against a team that’s struggling,” Coach Sam Atoa said after the victory.

Kicking things off the teams will have a scrimmage to showcase their skills before a free youth basketball clinic, and photo and autograph opportunities will cap things off.
Cross-country ran their fourth meet at home on Friday to come away with a huge victory and an amazing finish for both the men and women. The Wolverines hosted the UVU Invitational with BYU, Weber State University, Utah University and Idaho State in attendance.
UVU Rugby dominates the field against Oregon State winning by 34 points, and the team is only getting better. “Our team just gets better every semester of play,” said second year head coach Gary Brown. Real leaders lead by example, put their teammates first and put up the numbers — but the numbers they’re most concerned about are the numbers in the win column. Allyce Wilson is without doubt a leader of the women’s volleyball team. According to the program, Wilson is 5 feet 3 inches tall.

After a quarrel with defensive coordinator Bob Ryan, Kiffen was asked by Davis to resign last season.
It’s no secret that UVU and its students miss out on the school-spirit-building euphoria that is college football. The lack of a football team on campus has been tackled numerous times and status on the issue remains the same: don’t hold your breath. In the meantime, however, there is no better way to spend your Saturday than taking it all in on a national level.
