With the school year coming to an end, The Review collected statistics from the UVU Police reports and conducted a survey across campus to compare what crimes occur on campus to what students are aware of.
READER DISCRETION ADVISED: On Feb. 20, 2024, family vlogger Ruby Franke and her unlicensed counselor Jodi Hildebrandt were both sentenced to four consecutive counts of felony aggravated child abuse following their arrest on Aug. 30, 2023.
The UVU police reported two instances of criminal activity during the first week of classes. Both the cases reported were instances of alcohol offense. This report also contains updates concerning crimes reported in the “Crime over winter break” article.
Over winter break ten crimes were reported to The Review by campus police. This included three cases of traffic offenses, two cases of criminal mischief, a case of DUI Alcohol, a threatening, a traffic stop, tobacco problem and a case of stalking.
