“Good teams learn how to win when they don’t play well,” said UVU head coach Greg Maas. “To be honest, I don’t think we played great, but we did show great spirit and good fight to grind out a win against a good team that had a little extra rest then we did.”
“It’s my job you know what I mean, it’s my job as a forward to score goals,” said Frischknecht. “Last year I think I ended up with six and I was the leading scorer, so I didn’t think that was good enough for me.”
“The conditions for today’s match were exhaustive. 100 degree-plus temperatures, humidity, turf, all made this 1-0 result on the road even that much more impressive,” said UVU head coach Greg Maas to reporters. “Once we settled into the match we created a number of quality chances, and that could’ve made it easier on ourselves. That said, I was very proud of our team’s individual and collective defending. We were organized, balanced, and committed to not give anything away.”

“We had a tremendous crowd tonight on homecoming for both the women’s game and the men’s game tonight,” said UVU men’s head coach Greg Maas. “I was really excited, obviously they gave us a lot of energy and our guys love to play here on Clyde Field in front of our Den.”
“For us this was a massive game, we’re fortunate this year with the (WAC) schedule that we have six of eleven home games,” said UVU head coach Greg Maas. “So for us we got to take every one of those to heart and this was the most important game we’ve played and the next ones the next.”
