A growing program for digital media students

With the help of Michael Harper, an associate professor of digital media, a project called  the Katutura Podcast began a little over a year ago.

Bringing two Digital Media students to Namibia, Africa who worked with a student at Polytechnic of Namibia to organize and produce a podcast for a community radio station, the Katutura Community Radio 106.2 FM. The podcast is the first of its kind in the African nation.

UVU has continued to work with KCR in Namibia to develop and maintain their radio podcasts.

Currently, plans for a Summer 2009 study abroad program to Namibia are in process. Though there are no available applications, the digital media department will be selecting participants.
