Nestled between a conglomeration of businesses on the border of Orem and Provo lies a small café that epitomizes the melting-pot paradigm of true urban living. The Cybergate Café is the brainchild of three distinct personalities with passions of their own. Litz Lara is the cook. Manasas Barron is the IT geek. Iriadna Lara is the proponent of local artists. Together, they form the body, mind and soul of this quaint haunt that is ideal for students, businessmen and families alike.

Provo-Orem has been longing for a good cybercafé. At Cybergate, you can bring your own computer and hang out with their wi-fi or cruise around on one of the many readily accessible desktops. If a bluescreen’s got you down, you can take advantage of their in-house computer repair and maintenance services.

The menu pays homage to the Mexican roots of the owners. Whether you are up for a quick snack or a full-blown meal, the selection is sure to satisfy. The most popular dish is mollete, a traditional Mexican-style sub featuring refried beans, melted mozzarella, avocado and pico with optional meat. It’s a culinary treat that will bring you back for more.

The interior displays the work of local artists and rotates every month. Musicians can find a home here as well. Thursdays are open mic night and Fridays are a venue for established musicians and rising stars alike. Interested artists and performers can drop by to discuss the possibility of their work being featured.
