The last time Governor Jon Huntsman Jr. was on campus was in March, 2007, when he officially signed Senate Bill 70, which made UVSC into a university. UVSC anticipated seeing him again at April’s commencement, where he was scheduled to speak to graduates, but he was recovering from shoulder surgery and not able to make it. A year after his official signing of university status, Gov. Huntsman will be on campus again for a tour of the new Digital Learning Center on June 3 at 10 a.m. He will also be there for a presentation of the State Energy Efficiency Initiative Report on the fourth floor of the new library. He will be accompanied by Reps. Fred Hunsaker and Stephen Clark.
