Institute’s Friday’s devotionals open to all
The LDS Orem Institute of Religion adjacent to the UVU Campus holds weekly Friday devotionals at noon where students gather in the North Chapel to hear messages of inspiration. Every Friday devotional is open to all UVU students, faculty, and staff, as well as anyone else who would like to attend.
The LDS Orem Institute of Religion adjacent to the UVU Campus holds weekly Friday devotionals at noon where students gather in the North Chapel to hear messages of inspiration.
Every Friday devotional is open to all UVU students, faculty, and staff, as well as anyone else who would like to attend. Devotionals conclude by 1 p.m. with “Munch and Mingle” refreshments afterwards.
In addition to Friday devotionals, there are a wide variety of religion classes offered along with a number of dances and other activities that are targeted to involve the large student population in this area.
The lineup of speakers scheduled for the 2009 Spring Semester include: the Institute’s Executive Administrative Assistant Randy K. Lunt, Susan W. Tanner, Elder Jay E. Jensen, John Bytheway, Elder Joe J. Christensen, K. Douglas Bassett, Sergeant Jill Stevens, Elders Bruce D. Hafen, and Ronald A. Stone of the Seventy, BYU Head Football coach Bronco Mendenhall, UVU Athletic Director Michael Jacobsen and LDS Author Gerald M. Lund.
