iPad Air ready for lift off
The all-new iPad Air announced by Apple on October 22 is now available for purchase. Although touted as being the lightest iPad ever built, it still packs quite the technical punch.
With the new A7 chip, you’ll get twice the CPU performance and graphics performance with the same 10-hour battery life. The thinness and lightness of the device is what’s really making a splash in the tech scene.
“iPad created an entirely new mobile computing experience, and the new iPad Air is another big leap ahead,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing. “It is so thin, light and powerful, once you hold one in your hand you will understand what a tremendous advancement this is.”
As with other iPads, this one will be available in 16, 32, 64, and 128 GB versions. Pricing starts at $499 for the Wi-Fi only version, and the LTE+Wi-Fi will start at $629.
iPad Air is on sale in Apple Stores, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, Best Buy and Walmart. Just a little tip, Walmart will be selling the iPad at $479 and Best Buy, Staples, and Apple will price match for purchases made in their stores.
