Just add blooms
As lovely as that Valentine’s Day bouquet is, perched upon your desk, it’s such a shame to watch the blooms wither in their vase. Why not put them to new use this year: tucked behind your ear, entwined in a braid, pinned beside a bun? It’s only February 14th once a year after all; make the best of those bouquets. You’re in luck if your valentine brought you roses, carnations, or chrysanthemums, as they’re heartier out of water. But don’t fret – a spritz of hairspray or florist’s glycerin sealing spray will keep any fresh bloom look- ing peppy. Add one or two smaller buds to a braid, bun, or pony for an effortless touch of romance; or if you’re more ambitious, use florists wire to craft yourself a crown. The possibilities are practically endless, unlike the life of your sweetheart’s arrangement – so let those pretty blooms live a little!
