Oppression in the Middle East

Some UVU students had the opportunity to visit the Middle East over the summer. They visited Jordan, Syria and Israel Occupied Palestine. On Friday, Dec. 3, these students reported what they saw and did while they were there, as part of the “Contours of Knowledge” conference.

Their travels were part of the study abroad program, which was sponsored by the Peace and Justice Studies department. The students spoke and showed slides of the many things they saw while visiting the Middle East.

They focused particularly on what they saw in Israel occupied Palestine. The students touched on in their presentation, the oppression that they witnessed while there.
