Police Beat: February 21, 2011
In the interest of accuracy, all police beat entries were copied verbatim from police logs.
Feb. 7, 2011:
7:32 a.m. – I responded to a fire alarm at the LDS Institute building. I arrived on scene and found the alarm to be caused by burned bacon. System reset.
1:02 p.m. – I was contacted by an employee that had two students complaining about an individual with a dog on campus again. The case will be referred to Accessibility Services.
Feb. 9, 2011:
10:59 p.m. – A traffic stop was made for a traffic violation. During the stop it was found that the driver had a warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and transported to the Fred House Academy in Draper where she was transferred over to a Summit County Sherriff Deputy.
Feb. 10, 2011:
2:44 a.m. – I made a traffic stop for a traffic violation. During the stop it was found that the driver had a warrant for her arrest. I arrested the driver for the warrant and transported her to Utah County Jail.
Feb. 11, 2011:
9:29 a.m. – I took a report of a possible violation of a civil stalking injunction. The case will be forwarded to the city attorney.
2:43 p.m. – While working the wrestling tournament in the event center, I noticed two high school kids climb the gate and was cutting through the baseball stadium to get to Wal-Mart. I called them back and warned them about where they can’t be while they are on campus.
4:43 p.m. – An adult female was reported to have passed out in the LC. Orem EMS was contacted. The female had impacted her head from passing out. Orem EMS arrived and decided to transported the female to Timpanogos Hospital. No further action was taken at this time.
Feb. 14, 2011:
4:18 p.m. – I was advised that someone had written on the elevator doors…Again. A report was taken.
10:32 p.m. – While on a patrol a traffic stop was made for a traffic violation. During the stop it was found that the driver had a warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and transported to the Utah County Jail where she was booked in on the warrant.
