April 2009 April 9th- Public Intoxication – A 28 year old male was arrested for Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct after he approached a man and his son in the Student Center and became very belligerent. The male was transported back to the UVU Police Department and issued a citation prior to being released to his father.

April 10th- Disorderly Conduct – University Police responded to Parking Services on a report of a adult male being belligerent with Parking Enforcement employees.
April 17th- Aggravated Assault – A simple exchange of words between three suspects turned into a potentially life threatening fight in parking lot P when one of the suspects pulled out a crowbar and struck the other suspect in the head. Officers quickly arrived on scene and found the suspects still fighting. Two of the suspects were charged with Disorderly Conduct with one transported to a local hospital for head injuries. The third suspect was booked into the Utah County Jail for Aggravated Assault.
April 17th- Suicidal Female – University Police responded to a report of a suicidal female sitting in her vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and found the female was depressed but not suicidal.
April 18th- Burglary – A suspect entered the visiting team locker room during the Utah Thunder Football game, at the McKay Events Center, and stole numerous items from the visiting team.
April 18th- Suicidal Female – University Police responded to a report of a suicidal female in the Liberal Arts building. Police conducted a extensive search of the main campus property and determined she had left the campus. A family member reported later that the female had made contact with her father and was on her way home.
May 2009
May 5th- Medical – A 44 year old female was transported by ambulance from the Digital Learning Center to a local hospital after becoming ill.
May 9th- Foot Pursuit – Two juveniles were found on campus and were being questioned in regards to a curfew violation. One of the juveniles provided false information to Officers and fled on foot when confronted with the false information. The 15 year old juvenile fled through the wet lands near 1200 W when Officers deployed K9 Officer Scar to contain the suspect. Upon apprehension of the juvenile, Officers discovered the 16 year old male had a .22 revolver that he had discarded in the wetlands while he was running. The gun was later recovered after an extensive search. The juvenile was booked into the Slate Canyon Youth Detention Center on numerous charges.
