The UVU Review would like to extend condolences to those affected by the unexpected death of Benjamin Hill
Benjamin Hill, age 30, was killed Oct. 21 in a plane accident at Provo Airport.
Hill was a student of aviation science administration and also and adjunct instructor in the program. He leaves behind a wife and two children.
Hill was not flying a UVU aircraft during the time of the accident and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
“We are trained at UVU to handle these kind of things but of course things can go wrong,” said Corrin Krogh, president of the aviation club. The Aviation club plans to have some sort of memorial once students and administrators have been able to deal with Hill’s unexpected death.
Hill received his commercial pilot rating from UVU in spring of 2006 and has been employed by the school for nearly two years as a certified flight instructor.
“Ben was a good man and a great pilot. He will be missed,” said Eric Nance, Student Support Center of Aviation Science.
