Utah Department of Transportation has issued a warning to drivers using the I-15 corridor inside the I-15 CORE project. Travel time could be increased by as much as two hours tomorrow afternoon, Friday, March 30.
Lane restrictions in the American Fork and Pleasant Grove area, LDS General Conference and spring breaks from four different Utah school districts (Salt Lake, Davis, Weber and Tooele) will cause increased strain on the temporarily limited UDOT resources.
To avoid excessive traffic, UDOT advises drivers to leave before 2:00 p.m. or after 8:00 p.m. The lane restrictions at the heart of potential congestion, through American Fork and Pleasant Grove, will remain in place for about two more weeks, although additional work will not likely be seen by drivers as crews wait for the recently poured sections of concrete to cure.

Thanks for the heads up, Jeff. Maybe I’ll just go ahead and stay and take my chem exam tomorrow night, rather than waiting til Saturday morning. I wouldn’t be done with the exam until after 8, when the traffic might be fine.
