Utah Valley University Athletics has announced signing a multi-year partnership with Nike, including a significant signing bonus. Nike will provide apparel, footwear, and other equipment for all UVU athletic teams need.
Nike has emerged to be the world’s largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparel and a major manufacturer of all sporting equipment. As of 2024, the brand alone has brought in an excess of $32 billion, making it the world’s most valued brand among any sports business.
“Our UVU Athletics program continues to reach new heights, and this partnership with Nike and BSN SPORTS is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff,” director of athletics, Dr. Jared Sumsion said in the university press release. “We are thrilled to join forces with brands that embody excellence and innovation. This collaboration will not only elevate our athletic performance but also enhance our brand and community presence.”
After 15 years with Adidas, Utah Valley Athletics has reached new heights and has accomplished great feats having brought in a total of 25 WAC titles through seven different sports. Including Basketball, Cross Country, Softball, Baseball, Volleyball, Soccer and Track & Field.
This new signing with Nike has brought hope to the Wolverines community, students, and fans. The future for Utah Valley Athletics is nothing short of exciting and promising.
“We are excited to welcome Nike and BSN SPORTS as our official outfitter,” Sumsion said. “This partnership will provide our teams with the best possible gear, helping them to perform at their peak and continue to achieve greatness.”
The stage is set for remarkable improvements and growth across all sports programs within Utah Valley.
