1. Curtis Fairbourne, possible future UVU student

Q: Is university status influencing your decision to come to UVU?
A: Slightly, but I’m thinking more of coming down here for a few athletic programs.

Q: What do you think about Sederburg leaving?
A: I don’t know the whole situation behind your president, but I think it’d be better if he stayed during this transition to make sure things run smoothly.

2. Michelle Ziser, Senior

Q: What’s your favorite thing about the library?
A: I like how it’s big. You can find a really quiet area easily because it’s so roomy.

Q: What do you think about Sederburg leaving?
A: I don’t really care, honestly.

3. Erica Vunder, Senior

Q: Did university status affect your decision to come here?
A: No, but it’s nice because I’m graduating, and it’ll look good on my diploma.

Q: What do you think about Sederburg leaving?
A: It’s kind of weird he’s leaving right after we’re a university. But I’d do the same thing. (After being told Sederburg would get a higher salary.)

4. Angela Diaz, Freshman

Q: Did university status affect your decision to come here?
A: Yeah. I want to get my Bachelor’s from a university.

Q: Do you think there are any negative effects of becoming a university?
A: No. Just the opposite: I think it’s all good.

5. Sam Sangkeun, Sophomore

Q: What’s your favorite part of the libaray?
A: The study rooms.

Q: Do you think there are any negative effects of becoming a university?
A: The tuition is more expensive.

6. Melissa Porter, Junior

Q: What’s your favorite part of the library?
A: I like all the different study areas and the decorations. I also like the spiral staircase and the view.

Q: What do you think about Sederburg leaving?
A: I think he should’ve stayed a little longer after the transition.

7. Alissa Boyer, Senior

Q: What is your favorite part of the new library?
A: Actually I haven’t been there yet, I’ve been gone. After work, I’ll go check it out. I’m excited to see it.

Q: What do you think about Sederburg leaving?
A: It’s probably good for him to move on, but he made us into a university and now he’s already leaving.

8. Michael Peters, Junior

Q: What’s your favorite part of the library?
A: It’s really big. I like the architecture and the big space.

Q: What do you think about Sederburg leaving?
A: It’s cool he’s getting a bigger job. It’s interesting he’s worked so hard for us to get up to university level, and, when it does, he’s moving on.

9. Dan Stone, Senior

Q: What’s your favorite part of the new library?
A: This is my first time in it. It’s new. The smell is nice. There’s more light, and it’s open and less crowded than the old library.

Q: Do you think there are any negative effects of becoming a university?
A: I did hear that something was going to happen with the adjunct faculty.
