The Wolverines played in a home game against Metro on April 3. They completely trampled their opponents with a final score of 19-4.

Coach Kevin Perkins was thrilled with the progress of the midfielders this game as sophomore and captain Tyler Spendlove attempted five shots and scored four goals. Chad Frost scored three goals and had four assists against the unfortunate Metro.

Sophomore goalie Justin Thompson played exceptionally with nine saves in the game.

“I’m excited about how the team is coming together toward the end of the season,” stated Perkins. “This is the most important time to learn each other’s tendencies. As long as we keep moving forward in the next two weeks, we’ll be a team who can make a run at the national championships.”

“My goal is to have the team firing on all cylinders by the time we make it to conference championships. The team will have its identity and no changes will need to be made.”

Conference championships will be April 30-May 1 at BYU just prior to the National Championships in Denver, Colo. May 10-15.
