Lesa leads way in day two for Wolverines
UVU Women Remain in Twelfth Place Through Two Days at Aggie Invitational

LAS CRUCES, NM—The Utah Valley University women’s golf team still sits in twelfth place after the second round of the Aggie Invitational Tuesday. Their score through two days is a combined 45-over-par 614, just five strokes behind eleventh place Portland State. BYU maintained the lead through Tuesday and is currently at a 1-over 569.
Senior Cassandra Lesa carded the best round of the tournament for UVU Tuesday with a 1-over 73, shooting up the individual leaderboard to a tie for 31st. Lesa leads the Wolverines through two rounds at a 7-over 151. Trailing her by only one shot is fellow Senior Kalea Heu, who is in a tie for 39th with an 8-over 152.
Redshirt Freshman Carly Dehlin continued her pace set Monday with another 6-over round and currently sits in 59th place with a 12-over 156. Fellow Freshman Ana Margarita Raga, competing in the tournament as an individual, is in 67th place with a 15-over 159. Junior Kimberly Nyhus is in 68th place after carding an 11-over 83 Tuesday. Her combined score is a 16-over 160 through two rounds. Freshman Katie Perkins improved on her first round score with a 6-over 78 Tuesday. Perkins is in 69th place with a 17-over 161.
The Aggie Invitational will wrap up with a final round Wednesday. The Wolverine women will begin their last round of the tournament at 8:30 a.m. with live scoring available at golfstatresults.com.
