Arenas receives indefinite suspension
Washington Wizards standout Gilbert Arenas has been dealt an indefinite suspension by the NBA for his actions in responding to a disagreement with teammate Javaris Crittenton. After a gambling debt caused the disagreement, Arenas and Crittenton allegedly pulled guns on each other in the Wizard’s locker room. While Arenas has tried to pass the incident off as a joke, Commissioner David Stern hasn’t found the incident at all funny and hastily dished out the suspension to Arenas.
Mangini set to return for 2010 season
After starting the season 1-11 as the new coach of the Cleveland Browns, coach Eric Mangini has been asked to return next season by new team president Mike Holmgren. The Browns finished the season on a four-game winning streak, a streak that may have saved Mangini’s job. Along with Mangini, his entire staff has been asked to return for the 2010-11 season.
