Big Mac is back
The former big league home run champ is bringing his massive forearms back to baseball after laying low since past allegations of steroid use. St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa has hired Mark McGwire to be the team’s new hitting instructor. Not only is McGwire headed to St. Louis but La Russa is also on his way back after signing a one-year contract extension to be the manager.
Edwards charged in nightclub incident
Former Cleveland Brown, and current Jets receiver, Braylon Edwards has been charged with misdemeanor assault after being accused of punching a friend of Lebron James in a nightclub incident. Allegedly Edwards punched entertainment promoter Edwars Givens around 2:30 a.m. outside the View Ultralounge and Nightclub. James called the incident childish and Edwards was traded to the Jets shortly after the incident occurred.
