He defeated Utah native David Zabriskie by a large margin of 36 seconds. Leipheimer took the yellow jersey on stage two after a breakaway ride where he finished second, but gave him the overall lead.

The recent conclusion of the Tour of California ended up with American Levi Leipheimer attaining his third straight victory in the event. He defeated Utah native David Zabriskie by a large margin of 36 seconds. Leipheimer took the yellow jersey on stage two after a breakaway ride where he finished second, but gave him the overall lead. He maintained his lead over the field and won the stage-six time trial to all but seal the tour victory. His teammate on team Astana, Lance Armstrong, who is making a return to cycling after retiring in 2005, finished in seventh place.
Barkley sentenced to five days in jail
TNT analyst and former NBA superstar Charles Barkley has pleaded guilty to charges of drunken driving and will face jail time. The former Sixer, turned Sun, turned Rocket will serve a five-day sentence beginning on March 21. He will also be fined $2,000 and will be required to attend an alcohol treatment program and have an ignition interlock device installed on his vehicle.
