Prolific NBA scorer and perennial NBA All-Star Allen Iverson has announced via Twitter that he has every intention of signing with the Memphis Grizzlies. After being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Denver Nuggets in 2006, Iverson has struggled to fit in around the NBA. After a less-than-enjoyable stint with the Detroit Pistons last season, Iverson will now suit up for his third NBA team.
Sucker punch starts college football season with a bang
As the clock ticked to zero in Boise State’s win over the Oregon Ducks on the opening night of the college football season, tempers began to flare. Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount wasn’t happy when Boise State defensive lineman Byron Hout tapped him on the shoulder pad and gave him an earful following the game. Blount socked him in the chin, dropping the Bronco to the turf. Blount has been suspended for the remainder of the season, while Hout will be disciplined internally according to Boise State coach Chris Peterson.
