The Blaze released their 2008 schedule last week with seven of the team’s eight home games on Friday or Saturday nights. The Blaze’s other home game will be a nationally televised Monday night game against the Los Angeles Avengers on June 9. Arizona hosts the Blaze June 21 in the regular season finale.
Planet A-Rod
Coming off his monstrous year statistically, there is no one more valuable to a baseball franchise than third baseman Alex Rodriguez. Sure enough, Rodriguez, along with the help of agent Scott Boras, opted out of his contract with Yankees to test his market value. The seemingly endless pockets of the New York Yankees were reportedly $100 million short of the asking price(said to be around 350 million). According to espn.com the New York Mets, Los Angeles Angels, San Francisco Giants and Florida Marlins are among the teams which have not publicly ruled out pursuing Rodriguez.
