Elder Patrick Kearon, a member of the Seventy, has been chosen to fill the vacancy left by M. Russell Ballard in the LDS Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

Apostle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, M. Russell Ballard, passed away late evening on Nov. 12, 2023. Ballard had been facing health challenges, and is survived by his seven children, 43 grandchildren, 105 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
