Camping around campus

Camping is a fun outdoor activity that many people enjoy. The students at UVU are very lucky to be around so many easily accessible campgrounds. Here is a list of the closest get-away-from-the-city campsites. Utah Lake State Park, located at the end of Provo Center Street, has clean bathrooms, hot showers, water, and camping at the edge of Utah Lake.

Utah Lake State Park, located at the end of Provo Center Street, has clean bathrooms, hot showers, water, and camping at the edge of Utah Lake. Tel:801-322-3770 $20 per night.

KOA Provo, at 320 N 2050 W, Provo, has a swimming pool, bathrooms with showers, and cabins along the Provo River. Tel:801-375-2994 Tent is $23-$28 per night. Cabin $38-$45.

Lakeside Campground, at 4000 W Center, Provo, is near Utah Lake and has bathrooms with hot showers and a playground for kids. Tel:801-373-5267 $20 per night for two people.

Rock Canyon campground, 12 miles south of Provo Canyon on Hwy 189, has water available for campers and lots of trails in and around the mountains.

Hope Campground, 5 miles south of Provo Canyon on Hwy 189, has water available and lots of trailheads into the mountains.

Cherry Campground, from Springville, 8.3 miles east off of Hwy 79, has water available and inside Unita National Forest.
