Local record company North Platte Records will be throwing a huge party at Velour in Provo on Oct. 24. Local artists RuRu, The Desert Noises, the McKay Stevens Project, and Drew Capener will all be performing.

In addition to their performance, a previewing of the next record by The Desert Noises will be included.

Free copies of RuRu’s first CD release, ELIZABETH, will also be given to everyone that comes. Released on June 6 of this year, the album was named after RuRu’s mother, who passed away a couple years ago from cancer. This 16-year-old up and coming musician shows great talent and maturity on his first CD release, which is evident in his rich songwriting.

Guest appearances will also be made by Joshua James and other local musicians. Portions of the proceeds will be donated to charity, as well as to maintain the social functions of North Platte Records that are required of independent record labels. All those who wish to support local music are encouraged to attend.

To find out when and where future shows by local musicians such as RuRu and Joshua James are being held, refer to the artists section at northplatterecords.com to check their individual pages, or at myspace.com/northplatterecords.
