Percussion Ensemble to set new rhythms Monday

schedule 1 min read

From Charlie’s Angels with electric percussion to Brazilian myths accompanied by contemporary dancers and dynamic beats, variety at the UVU Percussion Ensemble concert won’t be lacking.

The concert will be held on Monday, November 21 at 7:30 PM in the Ragan Theater. Directed by Dr. Doug Smith, the Percussion Ensemble will be accompanied by a wide array of performers: UVU Steel, Kozan Taiko, the Green Man Group, and the Contemporary Dance Ensemble.

Both Smith and several of his musicians say the show will be diverse and exciting, incorporating pieces from a wide range of musical styles and eras. For tickets and more information, head to Campus Connection or the Noorda box office and prepare to mix up your Monday night.
