Three of the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival’s favorite story tellers will perform at the Midwinter Storytelling Conference this Friday at Mountain View High School in Orem.

Local favorite Bill Harley, joined by Elizabeth Ellis and Syd Lieberman, will perform amid two days of storytelling workshops at the BYU Conference Center, held Feb. 6-7.

The workshops will be given by fourteen qualified presenters, and are geared towards anyone who has ever told a story — from beginners to veteran story tellers. You can register for the full two-day conference, single-days, or half-days. However, tickets to the concerts are not included in registration.

The conference includes performances from other storytellers throughout the week. On Feb. 5, Noa Baum will perform A Land Twice Promised: Stories of an Isreali-Palestinian Friendship in the Orem Public Library at 7 p.m. This performance is free of charge.

In the BYU Conference Center Auditorium on Feb. 7, the workshop presenters will perform a storytelling conference. Non-registrants are allowed, and tickets are $5.

The following Monday, on Feb. 9, Syd Lieberman will perform Abraham and Isaac: Sacrifice at Gettysburg at the Orem Public Library at 7 p.m. This performance is also free.

The Midwinter Storytelling Conference, a branch of the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival, is run by a non-profit organization, The Friends of the Orem Public Library. For more information about the organization, visit TimpFest.org
