Under the Sea 3D, a documentary narrated by Jim Carrey about life in the ocean in exotic, isolated locations in the Indo-Pacific region.

Fish seemingly appear to float around the theater in true 3D form. According to imax.com the documentary features “encounters with some of the most mysterious and stunning creatures of the sea.”

The Warner Bros. Film is directed by prolific underwater cinematographer and movie maker Howard Hall. Hall and his wife, Michele Hall, who produced Under the Sea 3D for Howard Hall Productions, have collectively won seven Emmys for their work on underwater films. Howard Hall has been involved in the making of over 100 underwater films. Together, Howard and Michele Hall have made three other IMAX underwater films — Into the Deep (1994), Island of the Sharks (1998), and Deep Sea 3D (2005). They also collaborated on MacGillivray Freeman’s 2002 film, Coral Reef Adventure, Howard Hall working as the underwater sequence director, and Michele Hall as the production manager.

The narrator, Jim Carrey, is famous for his comedic acting. He has won two Golden Globes, each as Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, for The Truman Show in 1999 and Man on the Moon in 2000.

The film visits Indonesia, New Britain and Mile Bay in Papua New Guinea, the Great Barrier Reef, and Southern Australia.
Under the Sea 3D is scheduled to play at Clark Planetarium until June 18 of this year.
